Christmas Breakfast Today
What a great day we had today! Our school raised $500 for the Winnipeg Boys and Girls Club. This organization has clubs throughout the city, and children who attend have a safe place to be, a meal to eat, and help with homework. The Me to We Team, with Princess as the Chairperson, did a great job! As a WE school of Free the Children, this event was our local action to make the world a better place. Watch for further events where Holy Cross students make a difference!

Vow of Silence Today
What a great day! Everyone worked so hard at being silent and representing those children who do not have a voice. Thanks to everyone for participating! I even heard that the grade 2 and 3 classes were silent like the grade 7 and 8 students...good work!

Vow of Silence Tomorrow!
Tomorrow (Wednesday) Holy Cross will be participating in the global event Vow of Silence sponsored by Free the Children. Our whole school will be silent (some younger grades less than the older ones) to stand in solidarity with children who do not have their basic rights. Think of us tomorrow!

SS Magazines Due Soon
8SS - We've been using class time to create magazines based on Greek or Roman times. Students were given the choice of time period and whether they want to work alone or with a partner. Due to different start dates, 8M magazines are due Thursday, May 26 and 8B magazines are due Monday, May 30.

"Island" Field Trip Today
